Integrated DECT
The cordless or dect functionality is implemented via specific interface cards installed in the SAMIP telephone systems,
Radio Base Stations compliant with the GAP standard provide radio coverage for the various
cells in which the portable handsets are distributed. All the services offered to an
analogue telephone are also extended in a transparent way to a portable terminal, to which further ISDN
services are added like display of calling/called party name for example, thanks to the digital link
between interface card and base radio station.
The "single site" functionality is applicable to the systems when they are in stand-alone version and the
maximum number of reachable radio base stations/DECT terminals in such configuration is sufficient to
cover the area, up to 32 radio base stations and 192 DECT terminals.
