SAMIP
VoIP trunking with SAMIP
The SAMIP communication server provides
Voice over IP (VoIP) enabling linked devices
(fixed and mobile phones, palmtops, etc.) to
communicate in network with other systems,
whether new generation or traditional.
Communication between already existing
analogue and digital phones and PBXs is
managed by the integrated gateway.

With SAMIP, a company network can be
extended by WAN connections using SIP and
H.323 IP trunking.
SAMIP supports ISDN, Frame Relay, CDN and
xDSL connections.
IP Lan Telephony and Networking with the SAMIP platform
SAMIP makes it possible to exploit SIP based IP
Lan Telephony functions, which is crucial to
the concept of anytime/anyplace connections
whether on the premises or remote (eg. Home
Office).
With IP Lan telephony, IP phones can operate in
network as if they were a common element of
the data network.
The capacity to treat voice traffic in packets
(VoIP) and have data interfaces with the outside
world are essential prerequisites for enjoying
the benefits of new generation applications
services and, more generally, the cost reductions
that customers are expecting. Distributed companies
in particular can have VoIP connections
using virtual connections between their various
sites, thus reducing their communication costs.
At the same time, remote users can work as if
on the premises. And all this without sacrificing
anything in terms of communication quality
and reliability.
SAMIP is based on a innovative distributed digital architecture that augments both its flexibility and
modularity and which adds intelligent call flow, unified messaging, automatic call recording, graphical
desktop and web contact center to its call control functionality.

At the center of the SAMIP architectural design, SELTATEL has defined its mission to supply business
with a solution that supports the continuous evolution occurring in the business world both with
voice/data convergence and the integration of connectivity, services and IT applications that make it
possible to develop applications and customized solutions.

SAMIP employs the new generation of fixed and mobile wide band networks and introduces the concept
of mobility extended to geographical networks and multi-standards assuring the continuity of the
service. In addition, SAMIP makes available a unified, flexible and user-friendly development
environment for the management and the creation of customized vertical solutions.

SIP and XML for easy integration with business applications
In the SAMIP platforms, the IP and SIP protocols are placed side-by-side with HTTP/HTTPS and XML,
two key elements and the market standard for IP networks for data exchange, and RTP protocol for the
streaming of same data flows.
It should be noted that XML is one of the basic languages in the development of the new business
orientated information architecture for the SOA (Service Orientated Architecture) services and therefore
its availability provides a methodology and defines the rules for an efficient integration process of the IT
and business communication applications.
The SIP protocol however makes it possible to flexibly use the latest generation terminals and
application tools able to form the ideal base for the development of new highly evolved integrated voicedata
applications which include for example Sip phone, Wireless Sip Phone, Softphone based on a PC
or Palm devices. In practice, a variety of communication means that allows the most pressing
requirements of business mobility and the interaction with the applications or with other users to be
satisfied.
